If you’ve experienced miscarriage/s in your fertility journey, you’ll know just how important it is to be able to talk to – and connect with – someone else who has also been there. Now is your chance to provide that support to a woman who needs it, by becoming a Peer Support Ambassador.
The Pink Elephants Support Network’s Peer Support Programme (PSP) has been created so that women who are currently experiencing miscarriage and pregnancy loss, can be connected with another woman who has been there before…who ‘gets it’.
“Connection is why we are here. We’re hardwired to connect with others, it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives and without it there is suffering.” Brene Brown
To be eligible to become a Pink Elephants’ Peer Support Ambassador, we ask that applicants be at least 12 months + since their last loss, and preferably have finished their journey. Some questions may seem personal but please be assured all information received will be treated with the highest confidentiality.
At this stage, we are looking for Ambassadors in Sydney (or anyone who would be willing to travel to Sydney for face-face training). Training takes place over 1.5 days, while the actual role will require you to have the capacity to facilitate a minimum of 2 calls per week.
** OUR NEXT AMBASSADOR TRAINING WEEKEND IS BOOKED FOR 17TH AND 18TH OF AUGUST IN BOTANY, SYDNEY. **
Thank You so much for wanting to be part of our Pink Elephants Peer Support Program. As we’re sure you know, having the support from someone who has been down the same road as us can make all the difference in our journeys. xo
